Name: | Roberta Bryce Wayne |
---|---|
Birthdate: | Feb 19 |
Location: | Sunnydale, California, United States |
When Roberta Bryce Wayne was eight years old, her world ended. A man named Joe Chill held her and her parents at gunpoint as they left the opera in downtown Gotham. Chill demanded Thomas Wayne's money and Martha Wayne's pearls and, in a moment of panic, shot and killed them both.
Bryce watched her parents die, sat with their bodies in the cold alleyway, and thought It's not fair.
Alfred Pennyworth, the family's butler, took over the guardianship of Bryce, but he was often at a loss for how to raise the young, grieving girl. When Bryce turned thirteen, Alfred decided that a change of locale might do her good.
Enter Henri Ducard, a long-time friend of the Wayne family, who owned a house in the little California town of Sunnydale and was happy to let Bryce stay there. Alfred, grateful for the help, sent Bryce to the west coast for the school year.
What Alfred wasn't expecting was that Henri would harness Bryce's anger and grief, her thirst for justice, and turn it towards training in the arts of ninjutsu, psychology, philosophy.
He wasn't expecting Bryce to turn into a warrior.
